Smart Feeding Technology
SILOKING presents the self-propelled feed mixer SILOKING SelfLine Smart 5 for the first time. The width of the new self-propelled is only 2.06 me-tres. This makes for easy and low-cost mechanising and optimising of feeding, even in barns with cramped conditions and narrow feed tables. So, the SelfLine Smart 5 offers the perfect entry into TMR feeding, especially in the case of difficult building situations. Typical users include both smaller dairy farms and specialised farms, e. g. with weaner production or milk sheep and goat husbandry.
Less working time – More comfort
The new self-propelled feed mixer is a compact power package with a high-performance and most efficient 4-cylinder Perkins engine with 49 HP (36 kW). Control is intuitive and ergonomic. The driving speed of over 20 km/h considerably reduces driving and feeding times. In addition, there is no more need for the daily changes with the small self-propelled feed mixer. This makes work easier, too. The Smart self-propelled offers a simple design and it is very maintenance-friendly.
Sale planned from spring 2014
'We have just successfully finished the project study. Sales start is scheduled for spring 2014', Ul-rich Hufnagel, responsible for SILOKING product management, declared. 'The main target groups for this machine will be found in the new growing markets', Ulrich Hufnagel continued.
The new SILOKING SelfLine Smart 5 will also be used on larger dairy farms due to a lack of tractor mechanizing there. One hopper filling is sufficient to feed up to 30 cows or livestock units. All in all, the new self-propelled is a low-cost and efficient alternative to the combination of feed mixer and tractor.
