ProMonensin - Model 60 - Sodium Monensin
Donaghys ProMonensin 60 is a scientifically formulated liquid containing Sodium Monensin - an ionophore antibiotic known to provide a range of advantages if administered to dairy cows, including aiding the treatment and prevention of ketosis and bloat.
ProMonensin 60 is an organic solvent based formulation which has a lower viscosity than other water and oil based formulations of its kind. This means that it dissolves faster in water, providing easier mixing and handling for pouring and administering.
ProMonensin 60 can be administered year round to dairy cows, heifers and beef cattle at the rate of 5mL/head/day. 200 litres of ProMonensin 60 will give you 40,000 doses.
Contains 60g/L of Sodium Monensin.

What is Sodium Monensin ?
Sodium Monensin is the active ingredient of ProMonensin 60. It is a rumen modifier referred to as an “ionophore antibiotic” and is known to provide a range of advantages when administered to dairy cows.
Sodium Monensin adjusts the rumen microbe population, reducing gas producing bacteria. This assists the population of good microbes leading to improved rumen condition.
Sodium Monensin has been extensively researched internationally as well as in New Zealand.
ProMonensin 60 has a patent pending and is one of two liquid Sodium Monensin products available in New Zealand.
