FromSolplast S.A.
Sheet manufactured by multilayer coextrusion in thicknesses from 30 to 50 microns, combining LDPE, LLDPE and metallocene materials and EVA/EBA copolymers. This product is specially designed to disinfect or treat soils by means of solarization. It may be used for both forced and open-field crops.

Recommendations for good solarization:
- Remove previous crop waste from the land, as it is the source of infection.
- Ensure proper soil structure (loose) and use rollers to flatten the sheet, facilitating contact with the soil.
- Irrigate the soil to field capacity to achieve good heat transmission.
- Install the SOLARIZATION DISINFECTION plastic, ensuring that all areas are covered.
- If later irrigation is necessary, it must be done at night or very early in the morning to prevent the water from cooling the soil.
- During work prior to planting, avoid tilling the soil below a depth of 25-30 cm to prevent mixing solarized soils with the infected soils below this level.
- If used in a greenhouse, keep the greenhouse closed and the plastic covering clean (delimed) during solarization for maximum effectiveness.
- Solarization is the technique of disinfecting the soil through the use of plastics to harness solar energy. Environmentally-friendly and affordable, this technique prevents the plastic covering from being degraded by chemical products, if any.
- Normal films increase temperatures by between 4 and 5 ºC at a depth of 15 cm.
- With the DESINFESOL SOLARIZATION film, the soil temperature can be increased by as much as 7 ºC. This difference in temperature considerably improves the effectiveness of solarization. This reduces the time required for disinfection.
- DESINFESOL SOLARIZATION includes anti-drip additives that reduce the formation of drops of moisture condensation on the surface of the film, to allow maximum use of sunlight.
