Stationary Sawmill and Chip Mill Chippers
Bandit’s new line of stationary sawmill and chip mill chippers use the proven chipper designs found in Bandit’s popular line of whole tree chippers. The stationary chipper packages include Bandit’s Slide Box Feed System to control the flow of wood within inches of the chipper knives, increasing chip quality and uniformity. Steel-slated infeed conveyors are similar to the proven designs used in Bandit whole tree chippers and The Beast horizontal grinders, and they are excellent at carrying odd sized slabs, edgings and cutoffs common in sawmill residue.
Chips exit through a typical discharge with an adjustable chute for creating chip piles or loading chip trailers. A bottom discharge is also available for dumping chips directly to a chip conveyor.
Power comes from proven WEG electric motors with soft-start starters to provide a dependable power package that’s easy to install. Diesel engine options are also available.
The first Bandit stationary sawmill / chip mill chipper is the Model 2290S. Based on the Model 2290 Whole Tree Chipper, the Model 2290S features a 24 ½“ by 26 ¼“ chipper throat opening to easily handle large slabs and roundwood. It features Bandit’s legendary 37” chipping drum with a single top feed wheel in the proven Slide Box Feed System.
Bandit stationary chippers are built with the same thorough welded construction and attention-to-detail that goes into all Bandit machinery. These chippers are built heavier than traditional sawmill / chip mill chippers, delivering smoother operation with better efficiency and greater dependability. They are available in several sizes to suit any operation – contact Bandit Industries for more information.
