Chromatic plates are used for tracking or monitoring populations of different pests. For example: the olive fly, the fruit fly, the cherry fly, the green mosquito (Empoasca), the white fly, thumbs, moths, etc... In some particular cases and pests, they can also be used to mass capture or reduction of the population of one of the pests. They are sold in 2-unit packs, it is not possible to purchase less than 2.
What is it?
It is a folio-sized plate, yellow and with entomological stick to retain the insects. He`s got entomological glue on one of the two sides.
What`s the use?

How to apply it?
We will place the chromatic plate under a horizontal branch, hanging it by flange, cord or wire from the upper holes. It can be placed both vertically and horizontally.
The chromatic plate is usually complemented by a specific pest pheromone although it can also be used without pheromones in some particular cases.
When to apply it?
The time to place the plates on the trees/plants to protect will depend on the use (follow-up or control), crop and pest. It is preferable to anticipate the pest and try to place the plates before it appears.
How many rigid yellow chromatic plates to place?
To decide how many chromatic plates we must place, first we must ask ourselves: What is the goal with which we place them?
- Monitoring the adult population: it allows us to identify whether it is necessary to perform a phytosanitary treatment and the optimal time for this. In this case we will place about 2-10 yellow plates per hectare.
- Pest control: It allows us to reduce the adult population of the pest by avoiding damage to the fruit. In this case we will place a greater number of chromatic plates, of 50-200 plates per hectare according to the nature of the pest and its intensity, although in some cases very high doses can be used.
In the case of reduced surfaces or isolated trees, we will place a chromatic plate every 2 or 3 trees.
How`s it sold?
They are sold in 2-unit packs, it is not possible to purchase less than 2.
When to remove it?
The flexible yellow chromatic plate should be removed once the entomological stick is saturated with insects or other elements (dust, leaves, etc...)
