ecotube - Subterranean Irrigation System
ecotube - The first permeable subterranean irrigation system (colloquial soaker tube) for industrial agriculture, with an even water distribution of 100m.
It is an underground irrigation system mainly made from recycled tyres.
The constant water release forms a homogeneous, humid zone and provides the plant with the required amount of water. Due to its permeable nature, additional nutrients or oxygen can be distributed directly into the root area of the plant.
The finely dosed irrigation inside the root area leads to an average yield increase of 27 % while simultaneously saving an 58% water.*
ecotube requires almost no maintenance.Larger systems can be operated worldwide fully automatic via Remote Access.
Due to its underground installation, ecotube is far more durable than conventional irrigation systems.

NO SODIFICATION
Conventional irrigation methods lead to salinization of the surface or to accumulation of water-soluble salts in the soil (sodification), particularly in arid areas.
The underground installation of ecotube prevents such salinization of the soil.
LONGEVITY
ecotube impresses with its high processing quality Made in Germany. The secret is high tensile strength combined with sufficient permeability and homogeneity over its entire length.
At the same time, ecotube is protected from environmental influences or destruction, e.g. rodents, sunlight (UV) or agricultural vehicles, through the underground installation.
ecotube guarantees an even water discharge at very low water pressure of approx. 0.6 bar over a tube length of more than 100 metres.
The plants regulate the quantity of water themselves by means of a measurable suction tension of the root system.
Through ecotube, plants develop stronger and deeper roots, which in combination with soil additives lead to a considerably improved and measurable soil structure in the long term.

ecotube is mainly made of recycled tyre granulate mixed with polyethylene. The ecotube itself is 100% recyclable and convinces with its long longevity, which makes it ecologically sustainable.

The roots are supplied with water-soluble liquid fertilizer by ecotube in a specific and economical way.
30% fertilizer saved compared to surface applications reduces the burden on flora and fauna accordingly.
