BAC - Sugar Beet Buckets
BAC Sugar Beet Buckets are specifically designed for the particular requirements of shovelling and loading sugar beet. The low profile bucket is specially designed to ensure minimal clearance from ground when in fully lowered position. This helps to maximise shovelling efficiency and minimises waste. The bucket can be tilted to 90 degrees, a factor that prevents loose harvest from falling out. When fully extended, the bucket can be tipped perpendicular to the ground, ensuring full evacuation.
BAC Beet Buckets – High Tip, Standard or Hydraulic Opening
Sugar beet buckets are attachments designed to be used with loading shovels. The attachments are typically used in the agriculture industry for the loading of harvest, including sugar beet.
BA Caulkett is an expert in the field with 40 years’ industry experience.
BAC Sugar Beet Bucket design allows for excellent movement of dirt through the bucket bars when pushing.
With no obstructions at the rear to inhibit the flow at the rear soil removal on pick up can be maximised. Depending on soil conditions and previous cleaning the sugar beet could have the minimum of dirt on it which would allow it to be fed out straight away.
When harvesting sugar beet, the loader bucket used should be designed to meet the specific requirements of the task. Here are some design requirements for a loader bucket used for sugar beet harvesting:
- Capacity: The loader bucket should have a capacity that matches the size of the sugar beet harvester. This ensures that the loader can efficiently transfer sugar beet from the harvester to a transport vehicle without requiring multiple trips.
- Durability: The bucket should be made of a strong, durable material that can withstand the heavy loads of sugar beet. It should also be able to withstand impact and abrasion from rocks or other debris that may be present in the field.
- Smooth Surface: The bucket should have a smooth surface to prevent damage to the sugar beet during transfer. This means that the edges of the bucket should be smooth and without sharp corners or protrusions.
- Low Profile: The bucket should have a low profile to allow easy access to the sugar beet. This means that the bucket should be able to get close to the ground, without damaging the sugar beet or the roots.
- Easy Dumping: The bucket should be designed to easily and efficiently dump sugar beet into the transport vehicle. This can be achieved through features such as a high-tip bucket or a side dump bucket.
- Visibility: The bucket should provide good visibility for the operator to ensure that they can accurately position the bucket over the sugar beet. This can be achieved through features such as a clear windshield or a camera system.
Overall, the design requirements for a loader bucket used for sugar beet harvesting are focused on efficiency, durability, and ease of use. By meeting these requirements, the loader bucket can help to increase productivity and minimize damage to the sugar beet during transfer.
