William Hackett Ltd was established in 1892 principally to manufacture grass harrows for the farming industry under the direction of Daniel Hackett, who initially produced the tines on an open hearth fire.

The original works were located in Cherry Orchard in the West Midlands, UK, until 1969 when the harrow production and the chain works were consolidated on the current site in Maypole Fields, West Midlands, UK. Investment in technology and continuous development of manufacturing techniques have been a company policy from the early 1900`s until today when state of the art computer control systems are used.

In order to remain competitive in the world market we have invested in more efficient machinery and now operate CNC Robomac automatic wire bending machines to form the parts required for the production of grass harrows.

William Hackett Ltd has held a prominent position in the manufacture of grass harrows for over 100 years. The skilled workforce has adapted to changes in production techniques and technologically advanced equipment enabling William Hackett to become a truly international company producing world class quality products. Today we not only sell in the UK but we export throughout the world including the United States and Australasia.
