Trim-Tec - Aluminum Hog 3 blade 3MM
The Aluminum Hog wheel is a lightweight trimming wheel crafted from aircraft grade aluminum. The Hog is Trim-Tec’s medium aggressive style wheel and is a step up from the Shaver II wheel. The Hog is perfect for the seasoned or professional hoof trimmer with medium sized loads of work. The Hog provides a smooth yet aggressive cut and includes the Back cut which is a feature that allows both sides of the wheel to cut allowing for contouring and trimming in between and around the toes. The Hog wheel will trim soft and hard hooves while resisting rocks and sand. With the Hog wheel you can perform both bulk removal as well as finish work.
The Hog wheel uses 4 sided indexable carbide inserts (3mm Ultra inserts, 3mm Performance inserts) and has the ability to fit the following grinder sizes: 4.5 inch, 115 mm and 125 mm. The Hog wheel comes in two materials: Aluminum (Featured) and Titanium (see Titanium wheels page). The Aluminum version of the Hog provides an economic solution while providing the same cutting experience of the Titanium Hog. The Aluminum Hog can last an average of about 6 months to a year, but it is recommended to check the wheel for wear and damage at the 6 month mark.
