UV-A LED Traps for Insect Control
Until now, UV insect killers have been powered by UV neon tubes. European regulations will ban the sale of fluorescent tubes containing mercury from September 1, 2023. For UV-A tubes used in UV insect killers, this will be by 2027. In addition to their flickering, which can be uncomfortable, these fluorescent lamps are considered to consume too much energy. Abiotec has come up with an alternative solution to support professionals in this transition, helping them to anticipate the regulations.
