SHARE

The simple and efficient design of the mechanical parts makes the winch very economical in operation and replacement of wearing parts. The winch has a very easy and simple operation, which means that a new user quickly becomes familiar with the operation of the winch. The steel wire is the most commonly used wear part. Its lifetime can be extended by using chains for mounting around the log. The sliding clutch ensures that the winch and tractor are not unnecessarily overloaded by pulls greater than the winch's capacity. Important! There must always be a load on the wire during winding, otherwise the loosely wound wire must be pulled out again before a new load is applied to it.

Most popular related searches

Wire guide

The wire guide on the moulded top roller box ensures that the wire is always centred on the roller while working. The wire guide also keeps the wire free of larger foreign objects, so they don't get onto the drum.

Top roller

The top roller of the winch is mounted in a moulded steel box and mounted on a 25 mm axle with double ball bearings. (V-3021/V-3521 however only 20 mm and has only 1 ball bearing in the roller)

The top roller can rotate freely to either side so that it follows the wire during retraction.

Axe holder

The V-5021 have an axe holder as standard.

Support legs

The support leg is always mounted on the winch. It is raised during the work and lowered slightly again when the winch is parked. The foot on the support leg ensures stable parking. On models V-4021; V-5021 & V-6521, the support leg is square, making it stronger.

Clutch stop

The clutch arm is always pulled up to the welded stop, which makes it easy for the user to know when the winch is fully activated and the 3 pins in the clutch housing are positioned correctly and the winch is pulling optimally.

Cord control

The green cord for activating the winch is made of weatherproof material so that it can always run freely in the pulleys mounted in the winch exchange. The exchange on the cord means that much less effort is needed to activate the winch.

Pawl brake, off

The pawl brake is deactivated before pulling out the wire. The weight of the handle ensures that it remains deactivated and must be manually reactivated.

Pawl brake, on

When winding in the wire, you can choose to activate the pawl brake so that it is locked if the wire runs back after winding is finished.

PTO connector

The PTO connector on all Fransgård Model V winches is centered on the machine to minimise the load on the PTO axle as much as possible.

Freewheel brake

The wire drum is fitted with a spring-loaded freewheel brake, which ensures that the wire drum stops rotating as soon as the extraction of the wire is stopped. This prevents loose wires from entering the wire drum.

Bolts for the clutch

The 2 clutch adjustment bolts, located on either side of the heavy-duty main axle, are very user-friendly when adjusting the clutch. The clutch adjustment is clearly described in the supplied manual.

Dozerblade

The large dozerblade on the winches provides optimum resistance and ensures that the tractor stays upright during logging. The dozerblade can also be used to push the logs together.

Safety grill

All Fransgård winches have a safety grill as standard to protect the tractor during work. The grill is fixed with bolts that make it easier to remove when servicing the machine and replacing wearing parts.

Clutch label

The winch has clear yellow labels with information about the operation and lubrication points, which provides a great deal of security for the user.

Lift arm bracket

The heavy-duty lift arm bracket on the V-4021, V-5021 and V-6521 has 2 standard heights for mounting lift arms to achieve the minimum possible angle on the PTO axle. V-3021 and V-3521 have only one hole in the lift arm bracket. All lift pins have 2 categories as standard.

Interchangeable chain fall

The top of the dozerblade has 2 x 4 chain falls for extracting felled logs. The chain fall is bolted on and can be easily replaced in case of wear or defect. (Not available for V-3021 and V-3521)

Hanger for equipment

As standard, the winch has one or two hooks for storing chains, sliders, etc.

Hole for the towbar

The V-4021, V-5021 and V-6521 winches have a square hole in the dozerblade as standard for mounting a towbar with a ball coupling. Please note that the towbar is not approved for use on public roads.

Support plate for the top roller

The moulded top roller box rests on a support plate, which ensures stable wire retraction, even under heavy loads. The support plate can be greased so that the top roller turns freely from side to side.

Bottom roller

The pivoting bottom roller on the winch provides greater safety when retracting from an oblique angle by moving the centre of gravity further down. This minimises the risk of the machine being lifted and also allows a smaller tractor to be used. The V-6521 has a closed bottom roller, which ensures that the wire cannot jump off the roller when you stop the retraction.

Drive chain

The extra reinforced drive chain ensures long life and minimal wear on the chain wheels, as well as fewer breakdowns. The chain is lightly lubricated from the outside with chain spray or grease. It is important not to use oil, as it will run into the clutch lining, which is riveted to the large gear.
