Electronic Sorting Service

SHARE

MAF RODA AGROBOTIC has been developing its own electronic sensors for sorting fruit and vegetables and designing state-of-the-art equipment to meet the requirements of weight, external quality and internal quality measurements such as: color , the volume, the diameter, the density, the shape, up to the measurement of the sugar level (BRIX index) or for example the control of internal defects such as internal browning and vitrescence, or even firmness.

The weight measurement is carried out by means of an electronic strain gauge, associated with the mechanical weighing conveyor installed on the grader, thus guaranteeing an accurate measurement of the mass of each product individually.

External quality sorting
The external quality sorting systems developed by MAF RODA AGROBOTIC analyze the surface aspects of fruits and vegetables to detect predefined parameters such as color and shape, for example, as well as skin defects such as pitting, mould, bruising. These sensors guarantee optimum selection of the products to be packaged.

  • OPTISCAN:
The OPTISCAN system acquires and analyzes various color and infrared images for each rotating product in the field of the camera, guaranteeing the sorting of products according to their color and shape

. This optical system is composed of:
    • lighting, a reflective enclosure for the grader,
    • of a vertical camera, per row of the grader.
  • GLOBALSCAN:
The GLOBALSCAN external analysis system acquires and analyzes multiple color and infrared images for each product rotating in the field of the camera, guaranteeing the sorting of products according to their color, shape and external quality.

The GLOBALSCAN is used to analyze the entire surface of products such as apples, kiwis, citrus fruits, tomatoes, peaches, apricots, plums, persimmons, avocados, mangos and pomegranates.
  • VIOT EC:
Thanks to the use of 2 dual-spectrum cameras (UV + RGV), this electronic sensor dedicated to citrus fruits, makes it possible to rule out when selecting products by analyzing the superposition of UV and IR images, fruits that show areas of mold undetectable with normal vision.

This electronic sensor is associated with the GLOBALSCAN.
  • VIOSCAN:
The VIOSCAN detects surface imperfections in citrus peel, such as blisters, creases and rots ("puff and crease", "chimera", "clear rott" - fungus), using dual spectrum cameras (UV + RGV).
Internal quality sorting
  • IDD 4:
This detection system was developed to control internal fruit defects such as internal browning and virescence. The analysis is carried out by means of the transmission of near infrared light through products such as apples, onions, oranges, melon or pears in particular.

This unique electronic sensor on the market is an exclusivity patented by MAF RODA AGROBOTIC .
  • INSIGHT 2T & 2RH:
This latest generation sensor system measures the sugar level (BRIX index) by near infrared spectrometry of products such as apple, kiwi, mango, peach, nectarine, plum, apricot, avocado, cantaloupe, tomato and citrus fruits.
  • SoftnesScan (SSD2 - Softness Spot Detection):
This measurement system analyzes the deceleration by means of the mechanical scanning of the products. During fruit selection, it thus ensures the detection of "soft fruit" and "soft zones" on products such as kiwi, peach, nectarine, plum, apricot and paraguayo peach.
