Project Development

SHARE

To us an optimal project work is based on complete, solid and thorough solutions - at a fixed price and time. That is what we call solutions that last, and that is a saying that we always strive to live up to. At Lachenmeier Monsun we define project development in two phases: Pre-engineering and quotation design. If you need an advisor with a unique knowhow within design and construction of plants for the Feed & Grain and Bio segment, you will find a competent partner in us. When teaming up with us in the pre-engineering phase we act as your consultant and in close cooperation with you we develop an overall description of the project typically including flow sheets and sketches, a budget price and an overall schedule.

  • Preparation of flow diagrams and sketches for the most important machine placements.
  • Laying down and calculations of optimum outputs and  capacities.
  • Ivaluation of the project with preferred supplier of process machines for selection of machine sizes.
  • Preparation of preliminary machine and component lists.
  • Preparation of framework schedule for the project.
  • Evaluation of the project with the client and succeeding revisions.
  • Preparation of project description and calculation of budgetary price.

A complete plant at a fixed price and a fixed time
The purpose of the quotation design is to dimension and specify the choice of equipment and components including service equipment for a complete plant. A real quotation design would typically involve:

  • Preparation of arrangement drawings specially thinking of foundations and necessary building adjustments.
  • Arrangement drawings of machinery tower, silo tower, intake, discharge, aspiration plant etc. in order to determine static loads and thereby the dimensioning basis for the foundations.
  • Co-ordination with suppliers of controls and wiring in case Lachenmeier Monsun A/S is not total supplier.
  • Preliminary negotiations with sub-suppliers of big components with reference to obtaining the most favourable price and conditions for the Builder.
  • Investigation of energy, fire, and environmental requirements.
  • Preparation of time schedules.
  • Preparation of final quotation.

The customer will establish a project group including a co-ordinator to whom Lachenmeier Monsun A/S will refer to.

Lachenmeier Maskinfabrik A/S carries out the physical part of the design and ensures that the project is complete and that information is distributed to the right recipients. With that the Builder has entrusted this part to a company with a broad experience in this kind of projects. At the same time the Builder’s resources for the total project are released.

All suppliers of various equipment and components, that apply to the Builder after the announcement of the project, can be referred direct to Lachenmeier Maskinfabrik A/S, who will sort the applications and submit the various proposals to the Builder. Thereby the Builder can avoid spending unnecessary time on - often - many applications.

The sub-suppliers that the Builder already uses, or the areas in which the Builder has specific component requirements, as regards future servicing as an example, can be involved in the project upon wish.

The Builder and Lachenmeier Maskinfabrik A/S get a very exact basis for calculation of the project price ensuring that the Builder gets a complete project at a fixed price and a fixed time. Participation from the various suppliers at an early stage of the project secures that there will be no renunciation of responsibility later in the course.

Lachenmeier Maskinfabrik A/S invites offers and solution proposals from several relevant suppliers of process machines. The proposals will be presented to the project group who will then choose among the proposals. This ensures that the Builder gets all the negotiation advantages.

The changes occurred to the project in the period from scheme design to the final project are described and priced. This means that the Builder can follow the financial consequences of the changes occurred, precisely.

A well done preliminary work among competent parties in a new building project will ensure the completion of an optimum project for all the parties in the project. An optimum project containing complete, liable, thought-through solutions at a fixed price and a fixed time.
