BRight - Skid Steer Training
This onsite skid steer training class is valid for the following Skid Steers. Track Loaders, Rubber-Tired, and Multi-Terrain Loaders. This certified operator safety training course is administered onsite at your workplace throughout Canada, Ontario including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Simcoe, Niagara, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, London, Ontario and more.. Bright Safety Training also offers online skid steer training for certifying your employees quicker.
- Never exceed the loader`s rated operating capacity.
- Do not operate the Skid Steer levers or any other hydraulic controls while standing outside of the cab.
- Always watch for overhead wires.
- Never operate a Bobcat without an approved roll-over protection structure (ROPS) and falling object protection structure (FOPS).
- Never lift people with the Skid Steer`s Loader
- Never operate this heavy machinery unless you have been properly certified, and always carry your certification with you when operating the Bobcat.
The two segments to the program include classroom theory & practical evaluation
Part 2 - Driver Operator Evaluation
All Operators completing the “Operator evaluation” must have successfully completed “concepts of safe & efficient driving” training. Each trainee will be tested in the safe and efficient use of your equipment.
Driver`s Hands On Evaluation
Whenever possible, this will be done during production hours. This will allow for an driver evaluation under the conditions the bobcat operators will be required to operate in. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be “Certified” as Skid Steer Operators.
Each trainee will be required to do a pre-shift inspection. Then he/she will be tested on the following:
- Attachment at correct height
- Smooth stopping
- Load is centered
- Load all way the way to heel of forks
- Attachment level before entering
- Load is stable for lifting and transporting
- Proper tilt for type of load
- looks before baking up
- Stops at all blind corners
- Proceeds at safe speed
- How to deal with obstructed view

Parking

The Skid Steer/Bobcat operator safety training course provided by BRight Group Safety Training for Canada and the United States, will assist Bobcat Loader trainees and operators in being compliant with OSHA & CCOHS regulations and standards, by teaching the safe operational procedures associated with Skid Steers, as well as pre-shift inspections, accident avoidance and more.
