WiFi Latching Sprinkler Controller With Soil Moisture Sensors - Video

Traditional sprinkler systems waste power and water. This Vegetronix sprinkler system uses latching valves to save power, and can control valves based on wireless moisture sensors. The system is distributed allowing your valve controllers to get data from moisture sensors anywhere on your WiFi network. When your soil is wet, soil moisture sensors can tell the valve controller to turn off. The sensors and controllers report back to VegeCloud which coordinates everything.

Latching valves are nice because they are very low power - only requiring a brief pulse of power to turn on or off, because of this they have the added benefit of being able to be powered by battery.
