AKPIL is a family company located in Pilzno and established by Kazimierz Anioł in 1975. The company initially specialised in the craft production of construction products. In 1985, while seeking new areas for growth in order to cope with a worsening crisis in the construction industry, AKPIL turned its attention to agriculture. Purchasing Spółdzielnia Kółek Rolniczych’s (Farmers Associations Cooperative) facilities in 1992 was a turning point in the history of the company. AKPIL significantly increased production of agricultural machinery, at one time employing 340 people. he first AKPIL product was the Potato Planter we manufactured in 1984. We have also manufactured harvesting equipment for horse-drawn and tractor mowers , and hoe ridgers .
The company has been developing its own designs since 1988. AKPIL’s first original design was a horse-drawn planter. The potato harvester developed in the design office we set up in 1991 was the first machine of its kind to be manufactured by a private company in Poland. This machine was honoured with the Award of the Agriculture Minister at the 1997 Jasnogórski Harvest Festival.
We currently employ 450 permanent staff . Despite the smaller workforce, the company's output is now greater than it was when staff numbers were at their peak. This has been made possible by implementing modern technology at the plant. Welding robots, machining centres, hardening shop, automatic paint shop with chemical degreasing, spray paint booth, blasting booth, plasma cutting, manufacturing of curved tooth gears.
Our products are 95% manufactured in-house.
We were the first company in Poland to start producing harrow disks. These are prized by farmers all over Europe for their specially constructed cut-outs and concern for quality along the entire production process.AKPIL’s annual machine production currently stands at approximately 14,000 units. AKPIL solutions are original, modern and proprietary. We have highly qualified engineers working on new prototypes. Our machines are strength tested using modern CAD 3D systems and strength testing applications right from the design stage. AKPIL has also been working with the National Farming Equipment Institute in Poznań on several projects. Each machine is also subject to field testing. Factory tests are carried out on various types of soil and with different classes of tractor.
We continually improve our current products so as to adapt them to new technologies and customer requirements.AKPIL is one of the biggest farming equipment manufacturers in Poland. AKPIL manufactures over 40 different types of machines. A significant portion of the machines we produce is exported to Albania, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece,Georgia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Serbia, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Tunisia, Ukraine and the USA.
