About Us
Algenol Biotech is a leading edge biotechnology company that manufactures multiple types of algae from molecular to commercial scale. Our clean blue-green algae cultivation process yields high quality, sustainable and affordable products.
Biofuels Legacy
- Algenol enhances a natural ability found in many strains of cyanobacteria to produce ethanol.
- Our proprietary Vapor Compression Steam Stripping unit (VCSS) is an energy-efficient technology that purifies the ethanol, as a first step in the downstream processing, followed by standard distillation techniques.
- Algenol enhances its algae to produce high quantities of biomass efficiently.
- We process the algae using Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) technology to make green crude oil.
Algenol Awards
