Aqua Gen AS products

Today’s Atlantic salmon products are based on the collection of varied and representative genetic material from 41 salmon rivers in the period from 1971-1974. Through the years of continuing development work a genetic material has been created which is suited to today’s standards for producers and consumers.

Our breeding work with rainbow trout is based on 200 families selected through 16 generations.  By the measurement of more than 12 traits each generation, we insure a fish which has good qualities in growth, skin, and fillet colour.
