Automated Ag Systems is a manufacturing company specializing in field agricultural machinery. The custom manufactured machinery is self propelled, hydraulically driven, and fueled by a diesel engine. We pride ourselves on the quality equipment we build, while still keeping ahead of a changing industry. We custom manufacture each machine and platform, adjusting to the specific needs of the growers. Automated Ag Systems began in 2007 when JJ Dagorret brought his knowledge and ability to build all types of AG equipment. With a background in custom harvesting, equipment manufacturing, and also as a grower, JJ knew that the industry was rapidly moving in a forward direction.
In 1997, JJ and his wife purchased their first set of harvesters. The two started a custom harvesting operation, employing 4-12 people. Traveling throughout California, harvesting prunes and pistachios the couple built a strong customer base for harvesting as well as equipment repair.
During their third year in business, the two had an opportunity to purchase an established business that manufactured one of the machines they used during harvest, the bin carrier. In March of 1998, they took over the customer base, sales, service, and manufacturing of the bin carrier.
While building a broader customer base, JJ met several growers in the raisin industry. Working with the growers, he designed the Dried On the Vine (DOV) Raisin harvester. This harvester was designed around the needs of the grower and the changing industry. JJ was able to meet the demands of the industry and surpass the expectations of the growers. His machine was able to “shake” off 98% of the raisins from the vine, using one machine, replacing over 250 workers per day combining the technology of both the bin carrier and shakers.
As custom harvesting was still part of the early operations, JJ took his talents to another height. He developed a three-wheel tree shaker and receiver. This set of machines was able to harvest 8 trees per minute without damage to the tree or the product.
The quality and craftsmanship of the finished product led to many opportunities to build a lot of different items, one being an exotic animal crate. We were able to work with one of our customers to build an elephant crate, a crate that would be used across the country to transport elephants for breeding, health and other reasons.
In 2005 the two sold the company to a welding company that was central to all of the growers. They continued to custom harvest until 2007 when they relocated to Florida and started Automated Ag Systems.

Automated Ag Systems currently holds the patent on the high density bin carrier. Reaching out to growers across the United States, seeing the need and demand for a changing market. Our goal is to be the industry leader. We have an excellent reputation, meeting the needs and adapting the machine to fit the operation.

Automated Ag Systems has proven its manufacturing skills for worldwide production. Our unique designs are adaptable for any terrain and climate condition worldwide. Workers have been picking fruit from ladders since the beginning of mankind and it has been Automated Ag’s mission to promote worker safety by building durable reliable harvest assist and platform machines that eliminate the need for ladders. We see this as an international challenge and have worked hard to introduce our products to China, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand and developing relationships in South Africa.
International customers have commented on the reliability aspect of our machines and are particularly pleased with the service recovery of our parts department when repairs are time sensitive. We have tried to make our designs simple and standardized so that there is limited variation in our complete line of harvest assist and platform models.
