Belton Industries, Inc.

Belton Industries, Inc. was founded in 1916 as a partnership between two brothers-in-law. By 1927, the partnership evolved into a business manufacturing cotton packaging materials, was incorporated, and continued in the fiber packaging business until that division was sold to a Fortune 500 company in 1997. Our woven synthetic fabric business began in 1979 as traditional cotton and synthetic fiber packaging fabrics were being replaced by lighter, stronger fabrics made of polypropylene. In the 1980’s, a decision was made to shift our production and marketing focus to growth markets for specialty and niche products. This strategic focus has remained the same over the last 35 years.
