DIG Corporation was founded in 1981, with the idea of providing the commercial turf and retail marketplace a comprehensive line of quality low volume irrigation products. Beginning in the 1980’s with a limited assortment of drip irrigation accessories, DIG has expanded and is now a distributor of battery operated irrigation controllers and valves. In addition, DIG manufacture a complete line of low volume irrigation products which include drippers, micro sprinklers, sprayers, foggers, drip tubing, dripline, fittings, and accessories
In 1991 DIG relocated their Corporate Headquarters from Sun Valley, California to the city of San Marcos a growing industrial base in North County San Diego. This location allowed DIG to ship across the United States as well as provide a strategic location for international shipments. In 1999, DIG expanded to a larger facility in the City of Vista, CA., and now has over 40,000 square feet of manufacturing capability. DIG has assembled a staff of irrigation professionals and operation specialists to assure we provide our customers with on-time deliveries, quality products and technical customer service of the highest standards.
In January 2000 DIG acquired the LEIT controller product line from Altec Industries. The aim was to improve the quality and reliability of the product as well as to develop new and innovative products utilizing the LEIT technology. The LEIT controllers are powered by ambient light, which is much more sensitive then solar power. DIG introduced the LEIT X product line in 2002 and has since released the LEIT Link remote control for the LEIT XRC product line. In the middle of 2007 DIG introduced the new LEIT-2 wireless irrigation control system, which incorporates the RC2 remote handset with the LEIT-2 controller to program up to 99 2-station LEIT-2 controllers, or up to198 valves.
In the international marketplace DIG offers a variety of products for commercial applications as well as greenhouses including, drip irrigation, foggers, pop-up micro sprinklers and the LEIT controllers. The most recent introduction for the international market is the LEIT-2 ambient powered, 2-station irrigation controller. Conforming to international standards for environmental consciousness, the LEIT-2 controller is lead free and does not require AC power or batteries. The LEIT-2 software interface is multi-lingual and icon based for intuitive movement through the many features on the controller.
In addition to developing products that meet the marketplace needs for efficient irrigation products, DIG believes that our customers deserve the highest quality customer service.
