About Us
Started in 1927, the company's main current activity is growing cut flowers under protection - which now totals over 27,000m².
The operation also farms 300 acres of wheat, oilseed rape, sugar beet, barley and potatoes.
James Cole oversees the flower production and marketing while Christine and Charlotte Cole are responsible for administration. Flower production is the main focus of the business and our up to date methods ensure efficient and timely production.
James studied Horticulture at Oaklands College from 1988-1991 NDH and graduated with a distinction. A Tesco award was presented to us in 2010 When returning to the nursery in 1991 the business changed direction from supplying wholesale markets and flower packers with a wide range of flowers to a more streamline production. Strongly encouraged by his father, Ivor Cole, a direct link to a multiple was sought. Together James and Ivor worked very hard to expand the business with the emphasis always on high quality.
In the early 1990's the company started to supply Tesco Stores Ltd directly, this relationship has allowed us to expand substantially while working closely with the Tesco horticultural team. We would like to acknowledge the support and encouragement we have received from the Tesco team over the years.
