Evonik has developed a new generation of polyimide fibers for the rising demands of the industry. The new product, brand named P8, is distinguished by improved mechanical stability and flexibility at continuously high operating temperatures. P84 high performance polymer fibres are among the best suitable filter fabric base materials for flue gas dedusting at temperatures up to 260°C. The highly efficient filter media made of polyimide fibers P84 from Evonik keep the release of dust particles during cement production below emission limits. The new facility allows Evonik Fibres to meet the continuously growing demand for P84 products worldwide.
