About us
Compatibility and AEF
Because of varying organisational structures and technical equipment, no two farms are the same. With the right tools, farmers are perfectly equipped to face today's challenges. No matter what organisational structure or technology is used – NEXT Farming has the perfect software solution.
Member of the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation - AEF.
FarmFacts makes its experience with and knowledge of multimanufacturer software production available through its membership with the AEF – Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation.
Seven international manufacturers of agricultural devices and two associations founded the AEF on 28 October 2008. The initiative is an independent international organisation.
As a user platform, it provides resources and know-how for the increased use of electronics and electrical devices in the agricultural industry.
Its focus was initially on important topics related to ISOBUS. The significance of the AEF for the standardisation of agricultural applications creates additional tasks. Most recently, Farm Management Information Systems (FMIS), electrical drives, camera systems, high-speed ISOBUS and wireless field communications were added as new topics.
The visible results of the work of the AEF is the AEF-ISOBUS database (www.aef-isobus-database.org), which is freely accessible. It provides information on which terminals, tractors and devices are ISOBUS-compatible and to which degree they operate with one another. Customers and dealers have access to it to check the compatibility of their machines.
