Who are we?

The 3 directors of FarmGEM Ltd have a combined experience in excess of 90 years within the cropsprayer industry. They have seized the opportunity to form a new, specialist Company dedicated to supplying a superbly engineered range of crop sprayers through specialist distributers providing excellent products and service support.

They bring their considerable expertise of sprayer design and manufacture to create a new , technically advanced range of sprayers which combine the principles of quality and reliability normally only associated with the more expensive hand-built Gem and Knight machines.

Terry started his career within the crop protection industry in 1977 as a sprayer operator working for Ray Hewson Ltd, Spray Contractor. This business was acquired by Spraycare Ltd in 1979 and Terry transferred to the workshop first as a sprayer fitter, building and assembling specialist machines, before progressing to Field Service engineer.

He joined Gem Sprayers Ltd. in 1988 rising to the position of Production Director, responsible for all aspects of manufacture and service across the full range of Gem self-propelled, trailed and mounted machines.

Mike Would , Director

L&K were acquired by Econ Atkinson Ltd in 1984 and after a short period as General Manager decided to form his own sprayer company.

He founded Gem Sprayers Ltd in 1984, achieving wide acclaim in the crop protection industry, also winning a number of RASE awards in recognition of their success.

Gem Sprayers were acquired by Case IH in 1997 and Mike was Managing Director until 2003.
