Field Mate - Road Tax Refund System
Field Mate's Road Tax Refund System is an approved solution by the New Zealand Government, aimed at vehicle operators who need to document off-road travel distances for tax refund purposes. The system operates without monthly fees or the need for GPS. Utilizing a drive shaft sensor, operators can switch between on-road and off-road recording via a dashboard-mounted switch. Data is downloaded periodically to a computer using a supplied Windows application that generates detailed reports of on-road and off-road distances, including dates, distances, and hubometer readings. The system complies with all regulations required for securing a complete refund for off-road travel. The system is designed with ease of use in mind, providing straightforward setup for truck installations. Key technical specifications include a supply voltage range of 5 to 30 volts, current draw of 20 to 60 milli amps, automotive load dump protection, 500 volt reverse protection, and 20-year data retention capability. The drive shaft sensor has a life expectancy of 100,000 kilometers, and the system is certified to C-Tick and FCC standards with an ARM 32-bit 40 MHz processor.Field Mate - Fertilizer Spreader Controller
The FieldMate Fertilizer Spreader Controller is designed to control both single and twin floor fertilizer spreaders. The system integrates inputs such as spreading width, material density, door height, and desired spreading rate in kilograms per hectare. Two configurations are available: the single floor solution, which can also handle gravel spreading for grit machines; and the twin floor solution, which facilitates selective spreading on either side to avoid unwanted fertilization. Several technical features ensure precise application rates, such as solenoid-driven hydraulic valves for floor control and spinners with adjustable speeds. The controller calculates a 'Real World' spreader rate based on multiple inputs, providing users with accurate data. The system is compatible with both new and retrofitted spreaders, and can replace mechanical gearboxes with advanced electric/hydraulic controls. The plug-and-go solution includes a wiring loom and sensors, though the hydraulic valve system must be sourced separately. The easy-to-use monitor diagnoses system issues and displays crucial information, ensuring reliability and ease of operation.
