This is the origin of the Grattex company!

Having been a snow removal contractor for a few years in the early 2000s, not being satisfied with the results and efficiency of my tractor`s sand bucket and seeing that the tractor`s power was very little used, I decided to make myself a kind of hydraulic extendable plow, but reversible by tilting principle to replace the bucket on the loader.

It was a very innovative concept in 2001! Although this `new prototype plow` was very rudimentary, I quickly realized that this new plow was of incomparable efficiency. The competitors were stunned to see the operation, efficiency, versatility and performance of this new revolutionary extendable reversible snow plow.

The enthusiasm of other snow removal contractors was quickly felt, they all wanted one! This is how Grattex was born at the beginning of the millennium. It was around 2007-2008, a few years after the start of marketing this new snow plow that several unscrupulous copycats-imitators began to want to imitate our product, but very few had the expertise to succeed.

As a designer, I can tell you that copying was very frustrating, but over time, I learned to see things differently and I find the tribute that this represents flattering since if so many people have appropriated my ideas, it is necessarily because they were excellent. Grattex is now one of the largest manufacturers of snow plows in Canada and we are very proud to be able to say that we are the pioneer inventors of this type of plow and we remain the leaders in the industry.
