GroundUp Ag is the new U.S. distributor of Farmland Specialty Products, founded in Red Deer, Alberta. Originally operating out of KeyAg Ventures, Farmland Specialty Products is a well-known manufacturer and distributor of tillage and seeding equipment in Canada. Troy Schimke, owner of GroundUp Ag, has been in the agricultural business for over 25 years. Along with being highly instrumental in Farmland product research and development, Troy has also been involved with a number of patents for the Farmland Specialty Product line.

KeyAg Ventures, the original home of Farmland Specialty Products, opened in 1981 as a fertilizer and chemical retail outlet with particular focus on controversial trends such as reduced tillage, precision fertilizer placement (banding), and the introduction of the air seeder. Harv Schimke, owner of KeyAg, added several air seeders to his equipment fleet and soon found it necessary to expand into air seeder sales to meet the demand of those wanting to both seed and band their fertilizer. Between Harv and Troy, they have a combined 60+ years of experience in tillage and seeding equipment along with a strong focus in the development of a vast array of ground engaging tools.

Farmland Specialty Products has been providing seed boots on an O.E.M.(original equipment manufacturer) basis to most major equipment manufacturers because of their field proven results. A strong dealership network is in place throughout western Canada and the U.S. As tillage and seeding equipment markets continue to open in South America, Australia and Europe, Farmland products are accepted as standard openers because of their reliability.

Farmland's long term commitment is to help their customers be the best producers possible by passing on the expertise of over 25 years experience in the tillage and seeding industry.

GroundUp Ag is also the distributor of the New Salem based product, the Missile Winch. Designed and built by Jon Neidhardt, the Missile Winch has a standard cable of 3/8' by 30 feet. With an option of a 45 ft cable, it is the strongest winch on the market, capable of pulling dual-double NH3 trailers. The Missile Winch mounts easily to most implements and air seeders. Mounting brackets are available for common air seeders including; John Deere, Flexi-coil, Case IH, New Holland, Concord, Morris, and Bourgault.
