GVM is a family-owned company with deep roots in the agriculture industry. The company originated in 1975 when Jack Anderson left his family’s hay and dry fertilizer business to start AndGrow, a liquid fertilizer plant located in East Berlin, Pennsylvania. Shortly after, he decided to offer year-round work for his employees by manufacturing spray equipment, not only for themselves but other local fertilizer and chemical dealers. In 1977, Jack founded GVM, Inc., named after his three children Gail, Vicky, and Mark, anticipating the possibilities. Jack was an avid inventor who continued to revolutionize the industry with products like the Foam Marker and a nozzle alert system. Mark Anderson, his son, acquired sole ownership of the company in 1989 and continues to add innovative product lines to our Agricultural and Snow Equipment divisions to this day.
