We are an industrial company based in Altheim, Upper Austria, manufacturing special machines and machine components in our production facility of around 5000 m². Our customers include companies in the automotive and motorcycle industries. We have also developed a reputation in recent years as a contractor in the field of pipe and plate laser cutting, turning, milling and welding. For reasons of sustainability, we devote ourselves very intensively to composting and we produce compost turners in various designs and versions. We also manufacture special solutions not available elsewhere on the market for our individual customers. We also have optimised solutions available for industrial companies. For example, we manufacture lifting swing arms, conveyor systems and welding fixtures for specialist companies.

About Us:
Mecanil Oy Ab is a family company that was founded in year 1990 by the owners Christer and Ilse Nilsson.
The servicework began in 1988 home in the old workshop. We started to re-build forwarders to harvesters. The old workshop, now used as a place to paint machines, became too small and year 1995 began the building of a new modern workshop near Valtatie 6 in Liljendals´ industrial area. The new spaces made it possible to begin a servicecontract with Valmet Metsäkoneet Oy. From the year 1998 the cooperation expanded to service and sales of spare parts for Valtra agricultural tractors. Because of the constant expandation of the activities it became in year 2003 of high importance to expand with more manufacturing spaces. In 2008 Mecanil stated that the business more and more should concentrate on manufacturing and import/export. This brought the cooperation with Valtra to an end. Nowadays there are 10 people working in Mecanil.
Company activity in Tammisaari 1999-2008
When we earlier also worked as a forestry contractor in the South-Western Finland we realized that there was some lack of services for forestry machines. After this the whole Southern Finland became our workarea. The idea of a new serviceplace in Western Finland developed in the spring of 1998. The following winter the planning began and the serviceplace began its activities in November of 1999. From May 1st 2008 Mecanil Tammisaari has a new owner.

Product Manufacturing
The manufacturing of our own products has increased in the last few years. We have made the manufacturing process more efficient and built a strong relationship to our partners. Mecanils own manufacturing is at this moment concentrated on different models of energy wood grapples and grapplesaws. This is among others Mecanil XG220, Mecanil EG200, Mecanil EG250 and Mecanil SG220 and also tilt grapples and firewood grapples etc.
Sales
We have a long experience of sales of hydraulics and spare parts. The smallest part can be important if it stops the machine from working. Our modern computersystems keeps the warehouse intact and makes the orders faster. Our range of spare parts comprises over 10 000 different articles.
Mecanil also runs an extensive import/export business. Mecanil imports Intermercatos´ grapples, rotators and crane scales, Tianli forestmachine tyres, KM-Chains forestry chains, Farma forest trailers and Kranmans´ ATV trailers and equipment etc.
Service and Repairs
Our workshop gives good working conditions for our personnel. All repairs we do indoors. The most urgent repairs are performed outdoors on the field with the appropriate equipped service car.
