Established in 1977, James Pryce Tractors is a small family owned and run business based in Tiverton in the heart of Devon. Owned and managed by James and Andrew Pryce, in the early days the business focus was on the purchase and re-sale of tractors into export markets. However it soon became apparent that there was a local retail opportunity to service the needs of the farming community for parts and service.
The business developed rapidly and in order to cope with the increasing demand the “Agripart Centre” was opened in 1987. Recognising the local requirement for “ALLMAKES PARTS” James Pryce Tractors became a Vapormatic stockist enabling it to provide customers with high quality replacement parts and accessories for most makes of tractors and machines at a very competitive price. This strand of the business is now complimented by 5 fully trained workshop staff. All are able to carry out repairs to tractors and machinery both at the depot and on farm.
Throughout the history of the business franchises have been held for Lamborghini, Ursus and Renault tractors. Various machinery franchises have been held, most of which are still in place today. Case IH is the brand of tractors and machinery now being sold at James Pryce Tractors. This alliance completes a strong line up of complementary products. James Pryce Tractors has an excellent reputation built up over 30 years within the local farming community and the business is well known for being a strong advocate for the products they sell. This philosophy has been adopted by the strong team of staff.
