Knowles Produce and Trading Company was established by A.P. Sterr as a farm tractor dealer in 1912. By 1919 a repair shop and office were added, as well as a potato warehouse; hence the “produce” element of Knowles Produce & Trading Company. To better serve farmers needs, there was a bulk feed addition in 1959, followed by a fertilizer building in 1963 and shortly followed by a corn drying bin in 1970. Years have passed, and though Knowles Produce & Trading Company no longer sells potatoes, we still meet the farm demand with farm tractors, other farm machinery, agricultural baggers, and feed for various farm animals.
