Baled Fiber - Coconut Fiber

Coconut fiber is a natural fiber extracted from the husk of the coconut. The husks are soaked in pits or in nets in a slow-moving body of water to swell and soften the fibres. Baled fiber is not an end product. Fiber is baled for transport only and later disassembled to be used for a variety of products. E.g for bedding material (solid mattress and spring covers), upholstery, cushioning, drainage erosion control blankets. • Baled fiber is 100% natural; • Baled fiber is a renewable and eco-friendly Product • Since baled fiber is biodegradable it can be easily disposed • Baled fiber is used in a number of health-promoting products.

Cut Fiber - Coconut fiber

Fibre is chopped into 1.5 –5 cm size fibre and compressed into bales. Cut fibre is used in soil rehabilitation and bioengineering applications owing to its high moisture and air retention capability with more fibrous materials. This is used as substrate and also as mulch. Using cut fibre in hydro-seeding mixtures provides a better medium for seed germination. The coir fibre in the coir mulch provides structural stability to the hydro-mulch mix. General growth is based on the fast water absorption of coir-cut fibre. Therefore, coir-cut fibre can also be appropriate to be used in outside substrates.

Bio Logs/ Water Logs

Waterlogs/ Bio Logs are strong enough to withstand weather conditions such as heavy rains and, when staked to a hillside, help prevent soil slippage by holding the water until sediment settles.Made out of 100% natural coir fibres compressed in tubular mesh netting. Waterlogs/ Bio Logs are installed at the mean annual water level and fixed with wooden stakes. Suitable plants of the shore or reeds zones can be inserted into the top part of the Waterlogs/ Bio Logs . The installation of the Coco logs can be carried out at any time of the year. Twine is made out of a natural Coir Fibre and Twisted with an inner Polypropylene thread, using coconut fibers. Twine, a high-quality and versatile product made from the inner husk of coconuts. Coir twine is also used for various industrial purposes and products such as Stringing of hops & other wines, Matting Industry, Oyster cultivation, as well as in Domestic & horticulture industry When to bristle fibre is cut into a specific length, it is called cut fibre. This is mainly used in Brush making industry.

Coir Pillow - Aquaculture

Coir pillows are natural and Biodegradable products. They are coir cushion of woven coir netting in filled with coir fibre. Coir pillows are a great way to germinate seeds and build up vegetation in environmentally sensitive areas. They are used for establishing bank-side, vegetation. These pillows help improve wildlife habitats in areas that have been destroyed by erosion or construction works. Coir pillows are made from 100% coir fiber material and come in 2" – 4”. Due to their small size and easy installation, plant beds are a great option for wetlands, nurseries, and other small vegetation areas.
