Our mission is to explain causal relationships in agricultural landscapes and to provide society with sound information for the sustainable use of agricultural landscapes through excellent interdisciplinary research. As laid down in the statutes, it is ZALF`s mission to do scientific research on ecosystems in agricultural landscapes and to develop ecologically and economically tenable land use systems.
