Hatchery Feeding Systems
NutraKol Hatchery - Feeding Systems
The HFS-F system is aimed at feeding microdiets and weaning diets. The system is comprised of a control panel and up to 48 HFS individual feeders.
NutraKol Hatchery - Feeding System
The HFS-P (combo) system is a complete solution for hatchery feeding. The system comprises of control panel, controlling HFS feeders and peristaltic pumps. There are two models with different combinations of feeders and pumps:
NutraKol Hatchery - Feeding System
The HFS Mini is ideal for any small operation, small hatchery and/or R&D centre, with relatively small batches of larvae.
NutraKol Hatchery - Control Panel
Easy-to-use, coloured touch screen interface. Remote access and control of the system. Enables the user to view, test and program the system from anywhere using the mobile app. Each feeder/pump can be individually programmed. Feeders/pumps can be grouped under the same feeding schedule. Feeding intervals down to 1 minute. Changeable feeding frequencies during the day. Automatic increase in feeding ratios with larvae growth (no need for daily programming).
NutraKol Hatchery - Feeder
Easy to dismantle, clean and fill. Splash-proof construction preventing moisture build up inside the hopper and feeder. Delivery of small, accurate quantities of microdiet (minimum of 20 μg). Capable of feeding 80 μm to 2 mm diet particle size. ‘Air knife’ assists with dispersing microdiet evenly across the tank surface (reduces competition on feed particle, resulting in reduced size variation). Prevents microdiet particles from clumping (reduced accumulation of feed on the tank bottom). Clear hopper made of polycarbonate that allows easy feed-level monitoring. No caking or condensing inside the hopper, even with the smallest microdiet. Feeder body made of ABS plastic (no rust). Safe, 24V DC.
NutraKol Hatchery - Hoppers
The hoppers are specially designed to prevent caking and condensing of diet particles.

Nutra-Brood - Fish Feed
Nutra-Brood is a tailor-made feed additive designed to enhance the nutrition of marine fish (as well as other marine organisms such as crayfish and others) broodstock. Nutra-Brood supplied as an oil emulsion that can be injected into the broodstock’s fresh food using a syringe. The basic feed additive contains essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and other essential nutrients.
Shrimp - Broodstock Diets
One of the problems with shrimp (and other crustacean) culture is broodstock diets and nutrition. Currently, most hatcheries around the world are using fresh or frozen squid, worms (polychaetes), fish and other marine organisms, topped up with nutritional additives. This practice is far from ideal, exposing the cultured animals to potential pathogens and diseases, nutritional inconsistency and is dependent on wild fisheries. Considering the cost of broodstock (especially SPF), these are serious risks and in many cases result in high mortality and/or reduced productivity, leading to significant financial loss. Until now, broodstock fed maturation formulated dry diet, pelleted or extruded did not match the performances of animals fed on fresh/frozen food. The dry diets tend to break down due to the unique feeding behaviour of the animals, resulting in polluted water and very high FCR. Moreover, palatability and ingestion rates are usually low.

Arti-Kol - Tailor-Made Artemia Enrichment Live Feed
Arti-Kol is a tailor-made Artemia enrichment that can be designed to suit any nutritional and/or experimental requirements. Today, there is large variety of commercially available enrichments with different levels and ratios of essentail fatty acids, anti-bacterial agents, vitamins etc. However, in some cases, especially with new species or susceptible larvae, different levels and/or other ingredients are needed in the enrichments. For example, immune-stimulants and mega doses of vitamins E and C are used to increase stress resistance and reduce deformities. In public aquaria and ornamental fish hatcheries, stress resistance and coloration enhancement is needed. These can be achieved with high levels of carotenoids.
Nutralive - Artemia Live Feed
Live food (rotifers and Artemia) is considered to be a vector for bacterial infections in marine larvae, resulting in reduced growth and survival. During the hatching and enriching process, bacterial numbers increase by 5-8 fold. These bacterial populations remain well established and are very hard to remove from within the nauplii by rinsing with freshwater.
