What is Organic Agriculture? Contamination in food and its increasing hazardous effects on human health have become a matter of great concern throughout the world. Originally chemicals especially use of pesticides in agriculture were considered to be the only culprit. Subsequently and more recently pesticides contamination even in ground water, whether for food industry or human consumption is found to be alarmingly high and has given rise to further restrictions on the use of pesticides for every kind of applications. Organic agriculture emerged as a perfect blend of Traditional Agriculture methods and Technology providing solutions to the precarious consequnces of unprotected farm produces. The concept behind it was sustaining the natural resources without any detrimental effect on environment.
