Pacific Sentry LLC was founded in 2005 through a spinoff of Photonic BioSystems, Inc. in collaboration with Pacific Technologies. Through the spinoff, Pacific Sentry effectively absorbed over 20 years of ammonia sensing R&D, know-how, trade secrets, and patent rights. The company is now dedicated to providing high-quality, extremely sensitive ammonia sensors for commercial and non-commercial use. The key competitive advantages underpinning the sensor technology include: cost-efficiency, sensitivity to ammonia, and robustness. With the ability to sense ammonia in a gas or liquid phase, detect trace amounts in the 0.005 ppm range, and manufacture at low cost, these sensors can be – and are – utilized in a wide variety of applications.
