Phormium - Closed Shading Screens for Horticulture
Phormium provides closed shading screens designed for horticultural applications, delivering dual functionality. The Clima+ and PhormiTex Lumina diffuse shading screens prevent sunburn on the tops of plants while diffusing sunlight evenly, promoting higher and more consistent crop yields. These screens also create a favorable climate during hot summer days. The aluminum PH and PhormiTex screens offer exceptional energy-saving capabilities, with a high insulation capacity due to their woven structure and aluminum tapes, making them ideal for winter use to conserve energy. Designed as efficient night screens, they maximize energy conservation after sunset and open promptly after sunrise. All closed screens incorporate special acrylic yarn that attracts condensation droplets, transporting moisture to the upper side where it evaporates, aiding in moisture control and positively impacting the crop. The acrylic yarn network also facilitates humidity escape. For optimal results, Phormium recommends pairing these screens with the reinforced gable screen PHL 55.
PhormiTex Eclipse - Darkening Screens for Horticulture
PhormiTex Eclipse is a product range of darkening screens developed for horticultural applications. These screens are engineered using a unique woven technology that provides a higher degree of darkening compared to traditional knitted screens. The range includes various products such as PhormiTex Eclipse 1, a fully black woven screen known for its high darkening capacities, and PhormiTex Eclipse 98, which is made from woven aluminum for high light and heat reflection. The latest addition to the range, PhormiTex Eclipse Dry, features a 3D woven fabric capable of actively transporting humidity, offering the same darkening capabilities as standard double fabric in a single layer. The screens can be paired with PhormiTex Eclipse White for enhanced light reflection. Phormium also recommends coupling these darkening screens with reinforced gable screens like PHL White or Gev-Al White for optimal performance in various horticultural settings.

Phormium - Coffee Drying of Grains
Phormium has engineered a leno weave product known as PhormiSun Dry, which enhances the drying process for grains such as coffee cherries. For coffee, this dry processing technique enables optimal quality and flavor and can be implemented on elevated beds, commonly referred to as African drying beds. These raised beds prevent the cherries from touching the ground and allow for improved air circulation. This approach is quicker, cleaner, and more cost-effective compared to traditional concrete patios. Enhanced air circulation beneath the beds results in a more uniform and consistent drying process. PhormiSun Dry safeguards the cherries from metal wires while maintaining excellent air permeability. The net is UV stabilized to ensure extended use.
