REL Groups extensive range of hopper silos means smaller lines of specialty crops can be safely stored with aeration and drying options as well. The extra cost per stored tonne is countered by the benefit of using gravity to unload the silo. REL Group manufacture their own galvanized steel feed silos with capacities of 12m³ to 60m³ – 7.5 tonnes to 48 tonnes. The cone bases can be 30°, 40° and 55°. We build them for either pellets or grain storage.

Silos are a cheaper and more versatile option for smaller lines. The same benefits of aeration, drying, stirring and unloading can be included in a silo complex. From a manually operated drying system to a fully automated Shivvers drying and unloading system, REL has an option that suits your farming operation.

REL provides grain storage and handling installations for commercial clients throughout New Zealand, and can manage your development from start to finish. Recent projects include a Waikato maize drying and storage complex, grain storage and handling equipment for feed mills in Auckland and Canterbury, grain handling equipment at the Port of Tauranga and grain storage and equipment for a flour mill in Christchurch.
