Remocean was founded in 2011 as a spin-off of the National Research Council (CNR) of Naples (Italy) for the development and sale of sea monitoring systems based on the analysis of nautical radar data. In 2012, AVM, a venture capitalist of Intesa San Paolo, one of the main European banks, enters in the company capital by investing over one million euros in the company.
