Responding to the requirements of growers, Saint-Gobain launched Saint-Gobain Cultilene in 1979 to help with the production, processing and distribution of Cultilene stonewool products. Providing innovative products for sustainable horticulture, this industrial product allows more controllability and can be used to grow vegetables and flowers. Cultilene stonewool products are made from a specially developed type of mineral wool. Cultilene growing blocks, slabs and plugs are very firm with a very high consistency and a thin fibre structure that gives optimum root development, leading to increased yield.
