Working towards a Safe and Sustainable Aquaculture Industry; Aquaculture is one of the fastest growing industries worldwide and will play a major role in feeding the estimated 9 billion world population by 2050. Our goal is to contribute to a sustainable future for aquaculture by enabling data-driven decisions regarding day-to-day processes and management. We started with a team of two Aerospace Enginners looking to help innovate and optimize day-to-day businesses with technology. In 2016, Afonso Ferreira left his job at a private equity firm to help a small family-owned fish farm raise funds to improve the company. During this process, he got to know first-hand the challenges of running a fish farm efficiently, so he decided to call a former colleague from college, André Abreu, who was equally excited to start a project in this area and quit his job working in the Aerospace industry to start Sensaway.
