There are about 500 million small-hold farms worldwide, employing up to two billion people. While small-hold farms use land and resources more efficiently, they are most susceptible to climate change and depleting water tables. This needs to change.

To make our food systems sustainable and feed a growing population, small-hold farmers must be able to grow more food with less water and move away from fossil fuels.

With the Water Drop Initiative, together with SHL Medical, Spowdi is working to enable economic growth and independence for women micro-entrepreneurs in India by training SEWA sisters in Spowdi Smart Farming methods.

Clean Water and Sanitation

Spowdi’s smart farming methods, together with our greentech innovation is proven to generate higher crop yield with significantly less water, compared with traditional flood farming methods. With that, we contribute towards a more efficient use of water.
