TEWE Elektronic GmbH

TEWE Elektronic GmbH was created with an idea and a few employees who wanted to achieve something revolutionary in the early 80s: a new generation of electrotechnical controls and automatic programs for liquid feeding, and later for all feeding methods for livestock farming. This resulted in a much lower workload and much better quality for both people and animals. As a clear signal to the world, the word “Elektronic” was added to the TEWE company name, and it remains almost as a relic to this day. Several factors played a role in the creation of TEWE: on one hand, a strong affinity with agriculture through the rural surroundings of the western Münster region and on the other, the pioneering spirit to utilise the countless, newly recognised possibilities of software-programmed control systems in places where work was still sometimes laboriously carried out with pitchforks and wheelbarrows, even on larger farms.
