Top Air
Founded in 1961 as Farmech Mfg. Co. by Wayne Dudley in Parkersburg, Iowa, Top Air began its journey by manufacturing toolboxes for tractors. The company transitioned to producing portable air compressors, gaining several patents for their designs over time. In the early 1980s, leveraging expertise in air compression and farming, Dudley introduced pull-type sprayers. This line of products garnered multiple patents and propelled Top Air`s growth. By 1995, it became publicly traded, acquiring Clay Products, which specialized in milking parlors and liquid waste handling. Further expansions included acquiring Ficklin Machine and Parker Industries to balance seasonal manufacturing demands. Despite halting operations in 2000 due to economic downturns, the innovative spirit persisted under Unverferth Manufacturing from 2001 onwards. With enhanced T-tank designs and wider booms.
