Veterinary X-rays Ltd, established in 1960 by Pat Dorrell, has been a pioneer in the field of veterinary radiography in the UK. Recognizing the need for tailored in-house x-ray solutions for veterinarians, Dorrell initiated this venture after working in the x-ray division of GEC. The company`s growth was marked by securing the agency for Mikasa X-ray of Tokyo in 1978, a move that revolutionized the veterinary market with cost-effective, customized x-ray generators. The organization continued to evolve, introducing Fuji x-ray film and expanding its services. In 1997, it acquired Everything X-ray Ltd, solidifying its position in x-ray accessories. With the digital revolution in full swing, Veterinary X-rays embraced digital imaging technologies, adding the Eklin DR agency to its repertoire and expanding into new premises in Princes Risborough by 2010.
