A century of history full of changes and revolutions, including technical and economic ones.

The company began its activity in 1923, thanks to the intuition of Spartaco Grazioli (1900-1974) who learned the art of carpentry from his father Clearco and his grandfather Giuseppe producing agricultural tools and wooden trailer.

The company grow-up with good results and the “carradore” activity (manufacture, repair and sale of vehicles driven by animales) continues with success.

1945

After five years of war, Italy must rebuild its economy. Grazioli family starts again with their company by introducing the second generation. Alongside Spartaco Grazioli, his two sons begin to work: Clearco and Dario. They purchased a portion of land in Visano and built the workshop, reusing bricks and materials recovered from war rubble.

The cooperation between artisan activities in the small town of Brescia allows the company to satisfy the widest range of customers, producing resistant trailers and carts for work and transport. Clearco remember the strong demand of wood from the Grazioli workshop as well as the recovery of rubber tires from the waste of decommissioned aircraft from the close Ghedi airport in operation since the 1920s.
Not all the suplliers are located locally; for the supply of iron rims and axles the company purchases from a family of forgers in Vicenza.

1960

The company grows and within a decade it finds and, thanks to the economic boom, the Grazioli family took the decision to expand the laboratory. in the meantime, iron has replaced wood just as engines have replaced animals. The factory proceed with the construction of a warehouse on the area cloe to the houses, purchased immediately after the war.

1974

It is a fundamental stage in the history of the Grazioli family’s business; the founder Spartaco Grazioli pass away and the artisan workshop is converted into a company: the “Officina Meccanica Grazioli”.

The two sons drive now the company and formalizing the areas of expertise in which they have specialized since their debut in the world of work. Dario is in charge for the construction supply chain, sales are under Clearco’s control.

1977

The goal is to increase their sales. Dario and Clearco established a new factory in San Giovanni in Croce (CR) called SO.ME.CAR.

Following the new zootechnical trends, they also begin the construction of both horizontal and vertical mixer trailers. In the same time, they put strong attention in the construction of large-capacity trailers and slurry tank , designed to satisfy the demands always in evolution.

1991

The Grazioli Company bought ‘Remac’ , a company with a prestigious name, known on the market as a leading manufacturer of soil working machines, with a particular vocation for power harrows. The range, completed and structured, is able to cover the various needs even the ones coming from the most demanding customers.

With this acquisition, the ‘Grazioli-Remac’ factory become a multipurpose structure covering an important market segment, thanks also to the new organization of the sales network, in Italy and abroad.

1995

The importation of Remac harrows from Italy by an important Dutch company begins. These very robust machines appeal to the Dutch user because they work excellently in the heavy clay of the Italian Po Valley and continue to enjoy this reputation in the Netherlands. Sales volumes are now around hundreds of machines. There is a light version and a heavy version of the best-selling model, the three-meter machine. An extra heavy transmission is available for tractors with high PTO power. In addition to the three-meter machine, the hydraulic folding models are also a success.

In the meantime, the historic production is completed by the new “Spazio Verde” line, targeting gardener and horticulture professionals. The European market replied very well, thanks to the reliability and technical innovations introduced.

1998

The end of the millennium and the years of expansion and work were unfortunately hitted by a calamitous event; a tornado destroys the residential and artisan area of the town. The “Officine Meccaniche Grazioli” company suffers extensive damage and the destruction of fifty years of work.

The warehouses were completely uncovered, tools and machines, ready to be delivered, were damaged, the walls were smashed, the production stop was destined to last a long time. The economic dames is exorbitant and would amount to five or six billion lire.

2007

The Grazioli family with an incredible effort opens the new headquarter in Mezzane di Calvisano (BS), an area of 15,000 square meters, 4.500 covered. All the production and logistics activities are concentrated and optimized on this site, always updated with new technologies.
Silvio and Spartaco Grazioli have a sincere and obsessive passion for the product of their work. According to their experience, it should leave the factory as perfect as possible, in each part.

Indeed, the evolution and progress of the company are inextricably linked to the changes in agriculture, which are transformed in intensive, with large yields in small spaces. Therefore, the improvement of the machines produced is targeting the design of larger and more performing machines; no less important is the combination with cost optimization, which has become necessary and indispensable for the survival of the zootechnical realities.

Today

A quick look to the company catalogs would be enough to verify the transition that has occurred in recent years: from small-sized machines such as slurry tankers and single-axle trailers, to leading products that could be with three or with four axles, and 6/7 meters working widht for soil working machines.

The exclusive conformity of Grazioli machines to European Regulation no. 167 / 2013 should be noted. Called Mother Regulation Agriculture, it was implemented since 2017/2018, without however abandoning the traditional Italian homologation, in order to satisfy the road traffic needs of a greater number of customers.

This vision of the future is documented by two recent articles that appeared in specialized press: first, an app that is applied to Slurry tank and allows the customer to monitor the quantity of nitrogen poured and the relative ground coverage; then, the Genius machine, with its horizontal unloading system that can be transformed from a manure spreader to a dumper (and vice versa) in just a few minutes.

As is evident, a company open to the changes of the fourth industrial revolution, raising in symbiosis with the digital era, requires the support of a generation of digital natives, who know how to study and manage these new applications. Our fourth generation.

The first result of the “digital natives”, currently represented by Jacopo Grazioli, obtained the “Eima 2021 technical innovation” award for the innovative application of a semi-solid material burial system mounted on the Genius spreader.
