Plastic disc filter is used as a sand keeper according to its sand capacity in deep water wells which is not too sandy. According to usage area, it necessary to use hydrocyclone filter or gravel filter before plastic disc filter in the heavy sandy water. Because of being plastic, it has resistance to corrosion and fertilizer. The Collimators inside of filter helps water to enter swiftly. So that the particles accumulates at the top of filter and the bottom surface of filter remains more clean. For this reason the filter clogged later, the energy loss is reduced and backwashing time extended.
