In addition to asset lost by stolen fish, severe damage can be caused into sea farm infrastructure as broken nets that can be detected too late when fish is gone. Video surveillance is not efficient and difficult to implement for such a large areas over the sea and especially weak when more attacks use to happen (over the night). More, video surveillance demands human attention over long period of time and is not able to work in the long range as required for proper sea farm protection Instead, Radar technology enables long range, day & night protection needed in sea farm properties. Automated integrated software with radar sensor provides a comprehensive system to guarantee required protection for the whole sea farm production VIPICUL is vigilant 24 hours a day. Automatically, it reports any event that can result in a real threat to the property sending information to designated recipients (via email or sms) Customers do not have to pay attention to any radar screen; they can simply take a look to the selected map and watch what is nearby sea farm site. VIPICUL is an unattended solution that makes up information to be really easy to use VIPICUL site: www.vipicul.com email: vipicul@vipicul.com All the information included herein is protected by copyright law SECURITY AT SEA FARM PERIMETER VIPICUL is a perimeter surveillance system specifically designed for aquaculture market VIPICUL provides 24 hours a day protection against intruders and external attacks that can cause lost of assets and damages on sea farm infrastructure VIPICUL can protect one or a cluster of sea farms deployed over a large sea area (up to 30 squared nm) All the events are logged and recorded continuously so any period of time can be played out seamlessly for further inspection VIPICUL is in principle a “camera less” system although it can control a number of surveillance video cameras via PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) commands. VIPICUL can be configured according to customer needs and sea farm arrangements. Warning and alarm zones can be set up per sea farm site. User can define follow up regions and VIPICUL will track any type of vessel or boat that comes up in that region. An integrated X-Band radar sensor transfers video information to an embedded vision unit capable to interpret target movement, tracking any target of interest. Target information is updated each second and display on a map. Operator knows at any time position, velocity and direction of threats approaching sea farm area UNATTENDED, EASY TO USE Several zoom levels are available. Zoom out view displays ship tracks; this is really useful when operator wants to know about target itinerary, from where threat came in and where its destination was after intrusion. Zoom in option gives operator detailed information about which sea farm cages could be damaged after intrusion. An alarm is raised when any target passed through designated protection perimeter. An alarm report is emailed to one or several email recipients and/or mobile SMS Figure displays how VIPICUL works: Security perimeter is depicted over navigational map. Target information from radar sensor is analyzed via embedded vision system and target coordinates are reported periodically. VIPICUL graphical interface represents target position over time and calculate speed and direction. When a vessel or boat trespasses security lines an alarm is raised and email is sent to designated recipients. Activity is recorded on data files. They can be played out using VIPICUL play out tool.
