Ferrari Remoweed and Scorpion - Automatic Weeder
Ferrari Remoweed is the automatic hoe inter-row and inter-plant produced by Ferrari Costruzioni Meccaniche, both pulled and self-propelled. Its advanced technological solutions allow it to eliminate weeds not only between the rows but also between the plants in the same row and weeding the totality of the land with single passes only. REMOWEED is equipped with a hydraulic floating frame able to shift on both sides and contains a number of elements equal to the number of rows to be weeded. Each element is independent from the others and is equipped with an infrared optical bar able to detect weeds and plants, during the advancement.
Each element is also equipped with a pair of hydraulic arms, which holds the blades that operate at an adjustable depth and are able to eliminate weeds up to one cm from the plant. With the user-friendly touch screen panel it is possible to set the processing parameters and monitor the machine at work. REMOWEED is suitable for both "traditional" and "organic cultivations and allows the user to drastically reduce the use of work force and substantially limit the use of chemicals.

It consists of an articulated frame capable of translating laterally with respect to the direction of travel through the use of hydraulic pistons. The machine is made up of a number of elements equal to the number of rows to weed. Each element is equipped with an infrared optical bar capable of identifying, during progress, the presence or absence of plants under cultivation. Each element is also equipped with a pair of arms (hydraulically operated) at the ends of which interacting blades are installed that operate at adjustable depth and are able to eliminate weeds up to one cm away from the cultivated plant.
All the weeding units are made independent of each other thanks to a motherboard that allows precise detections and particularly rapid activation of the blades. The machine / operator interaction is managed by an easy-to-understand Touch Screen panel, through which it is possible to set the processing parameters and monitor the processing itself.
